About Us


Bill Pullen, MCC is President of Pullen & Associates, a Washington, DC based consulting firm providing executive coaching and organizational development services to corporations, the federal government and private organizations in both the US and abroad. His work focuses on developing current and emerging leaders and building leadership capacity within organizations. Some of his past or current clients include Satyam,  Booz Allen Hamilton, Marriot, University of Pennsylvania, AOL/Time Warner, Freddie Mac, U.S Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Education, Federal General Services Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Canadian Government Fairfax County Public Schools and American Federation of Retired Americans.

Bill Pullen designed the 2009 Metro DC ICF Prism Award winning coaching program for the U.S. Department of Commerce – International Trade Administration. This prestigious award is given to an organization that uses coaching to shift organizational culture and create profound results.

In addition to his work with Pullen & Associates, Bill is Director of Training for the George Mason University Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance program. He is active with the International Coaches Federation assessing candidates for coaching certification. He has served on the faculty of The Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, Ca.  He has been featured in The Washington Post and as an expert on coaching on CBS on NBC news and is a frequent contributor to Best Life magazine.

Bill is known for his straightforward, insightful approach to helping people and organizations identify behaviors that promote or detract from leader effectiveness. Taking a systems approach, he uses a cycle of assessment, challenge, and support to accelerate development, enhance performance and build leadership identity, presence, behaviors and skills. Through the use of various 360 assessment instruments he is able to give targeted feedback and create development plans that align with the needs of both the individual and the organization. His approach reinforces coaching and feedback, by creating a cycle of action and learning that leads to sustained, effective improvement in performance.

Bill has a Masters in Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.  Bill is a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute. He has received additional training in multicultural leadership and organizational and systems relationship coaching. He has completed the Co-Active Space Leadership Program. He has a B.S Degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa.


He is certified to administer and provide feedback on the following 360 assessment tools; The Leadership Circle, Benchmarks, 360 By Design, Executive Dimensions, and Prospector.




Sandi Stewart, PCC is an Executive Coach with over 15 years of organizational consulting and coaching experience.  She has assisted executives, managers, entrepreneurs and career changers in catalyzing their work and career development and effecting and implementing change in their organizations.  Coaching relationships have focused on mid-term goals as well as long-term goals including leadership development, proactive career development, time management, team dynamics, and life balance.  The coaching practice combines a portfolio of techniques, including systematic and analytical inquiry as well as open-ended creative thinking and working with assessments and teams.  Sandi assists clients in identifying their strengths, optimizing their management style and understanding their values and what motivates them. 

Sandi’s management career has spanned a number of industries in her roles as manager, marketer and strategic planner including manufacturing, engineering services, healthcare, cable TV, publishing, non-profit services.  She was a manager with Johnson & Johnson, Hearst/ABC, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and Ferrero, N.A.  This work experience, an M.B.A., and her more than 15 years of consulting and coaching has given her a breadth of understanding of the diverse challenges executives face.   Sandi has a B.A. in Psychology and French from Colgate University and a M.B.A from Columbia University.    She trained as a coach with Coach University and Corporate Coach University.  She is a Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and a Certified Behavioral and Motivational Analyst through Target Training International.  Sandi has been featured in national and local print publications and radio.  She is quoted in “Simply Brilliant: Life Lessons from America’s Top Personal and Business Coaches” and “The Women’s Home-Based Business Book of Answers”. 




Susan Braverman, PCC brings more than 35 years’ experience as a therapist and business consultant to her coaching. She works with people in transition; those who feel stale in their jobs and want something new, women who are learning to re-focus on themselves, people who are raising families and people who are trying to maintain life balance.  Susan has worked with managers and executives to improve their productivity, increase their effectiveness, and enhance their job satisfaction. As the owner of a human resources consulting company and  an employee assistance program, she has worked with people in diverse organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, to overcome obstacles, to  manage difficult employees, to cope effectively with stress and change, and to enhance team functioning. Susan received her coaching training through The Coaches Training Institute. Trained in System Theory and Intervention at the Boston Family Institute, Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).




Elizabeth C. Hechtman, MS, PCC specializes in working with executives to advance their careers while creating balanced and fulfilled lives; with entrepreneurs who are turning their dreams into sustainable reality; and with artists who want to earn their living while maintaining the integrity of their visions.  Using her gifts of intuition and listening she takes a straightforward approach, helping clients to create big, fulfilled, successful lives. Elizabeth has 20 years’ experience as director of a therapy and training center in Philadelphia. There she conducts weekly groups and has lead workshops for members of social-services organizations, non-profit groups, boards and corporations. She has taught “Organizational Problem Solving” at the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Graduate School of Government. She has appeared on The LaSalle television show and been heard on National Public Radio. Cosmopolitan magazine published her article entitled, “Is He Holding You Back?” Elizabeth is a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute. She holds a Master’s degree in group process and group psychotherapy from Hahnemann Medical University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to her work as a coach, Elizabeth is writing a series of professional articles and has two books in the works.

 




Robin Tucker, CPCC, ACC is an Executive Coach based in Washington, DC whose practice focuses on leadership development, team building, whole life balance and relationship skills for executives, managers, and project teams in the public and private sectors. Some of her past and current clients include the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Association, the Office of Communications and Public Liaison at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the City of London Municipal Government in Ontario, Canada, and Wells Fargo Bank.

Robin was a principal consultant on the team that received the International Coach Federation (ICF) 2009 Prism Award for their work coaching leaders at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Association.  The ICF’s Prism Award is given to organizations that use coaching to affect organizational change with
profound and sustainable results.

Robin believes that everyone has the ability to lead effectively in both their professional and personal lives.  Her proven coaching process is tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients, focusing on goal articulation and positive action. Through active engagement, she supports clients to discover their own unique leadership style and path for leadership development. Her bold and supportive approach helps clients to identify  critical areas for development quickly – opening the door to powerful and lasting positive change.   

A graduate of the Coaches Training Institute, Robin earned her Certified Professional Co-active Coach and Associate Co-active Coach designation through the ICF certification board and has completed the Co-Active Space Leadership and Organizational and Relationship Systems programs.  She is the former Director of Professional Development for the Metro DC Chapter of the ICF and remains an active member.  She is currently enrolled in the Sedona Method Coach Training Program, a world-renowned program that leverages emotional intelligence to maximize leadership and management potential.
